A little bit about our little outing to the Park. We all woke up about 6:30 and took our time getting ready. That was nice. No rushing. We got to the park about 8:00 and the weather was perfect. 72 degrees. It was all shaded and cool when we got there. There were some thick clouds random in the sky that covered the sun every once in a while. It was great! We ate some bagels and juice and bananas. The kids went off the feed the ducks and find frogs, which they did. I didn't get any pictures of the frogs though. Grandma Basham came a bit later with some watermellon and hunny dew and cookies of course. She brought Maya and Nathan, their cousins to play with them. I put sun block on the kids and for some reason Canberra's face just broke out! She got some in her eyes too so the first hour or 2 she was just miserable the poor thing. It was baby block too! Her rash cleared up and she was super happy and ready to play. She had fun "running" in the grass and picking up every little leaf and stick she saw. The kids just loved playing sticky ball with daddy but spent most of the day chasing ducks and finding frogs. We stayed there till 12:30, it was starting to get a bit warm then. The clouds were going away also. It was a really nice relaxing morning. It was a beautiful park too. It's only about 30 minutes north/east of us. So that wasn't a bad drive either.
On Monday the 18th Shane split the back of his head open about 1 inch on the piano and had to get 3 staples put in. He did great, didn't even cry. He get's them taken out tomarrow. Poor little guy. It looked heaps worse when it first happend, as all head wounds do. I thought for sure it was about 2-3 inches. But when they got it all cleaned up only 1 inch. So that's good. He is doing great at school. He just loves it. After we got back from the park on Saturday we were looking at my flowers and he asked me why some don't have very many flowers anymore. I told him sometimes there are no flowers and sometimes there are a lot and in the winter there are no flowers. And Mr. Smarty said "yeh, because they are dormant." I know what that means but do I ever actually say the word? I was so happy he is actually listening to his teacher and remembering! I guess they were learining about the apple tree and all the seasons and changes it goes through and there is a dormant time in winter.
I found out that someone we knew had a terrible experience with a head ache. I share this as informational mostly. He had gotten a bad head ache and couldn't get rid of it and had it for three days before he couldn't handle it anymore and went to the emergency room. They did a cat scan and said they had to get him into surgery right away. A blood vessel had burst and clotted and the blood had filled up his head and was pushing his brain against the right side of his head. They couldn't believe he lasted 3 days! So they had to pull his skin away from his face and cut the entire right side of his scull and remove it! To drain all the blood out and remove the large clot that formed. Crazy! So if you have a persistant head ache that you can't get rid of go to the doctor! He didn't hit his head or do anything strainuous either. Just a random burst. So super scarey!
As for me and this pregnancy, I am not sick to my stomach very much anymore on occation, but I am still VERY tired and weak. I have now cut Canberra back to nursing her only in the mornings to see if that helps. I have my next doctors apt. on Thursday so we will see what comes of that. Thank goodness the sickness is pretty much over though! I like my food! Shane is still certain that it's another baby brother. He is so excited. We are going to have to do alot of moving things around in the house to get things ready. But I am sure everything will work out fine. Daniel gratuates in December so maybe a new job offer will send us to another state. Possibly Utah. But I am pretty much open to anywhere, kinda. No earthquakes, hurricanes and most important no where with TORNATOS! Never never never. I have too many nightmares about those things I am not going to put myself in a place that will make those dreams come true. So, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, some eastern parts of California maybe. I don't know. We'll see. We may end up staying right here in deadly hot Tucson.
Canberra is trying to run. She moves her little legs as fast as she can cute little girl. She won't crawl anymore, she get's herself right up to walk if she want's to get anywhere. It's making it more fun for her brothers to play with her too. They love running infront of her and hiding in a room and when she comes walking by they jump out to scare her! She does a little fun scream and laughs every time. She loves it. And of course the boys just love it too! I can't belive that she is going to be 1 in another month! I got her a cute invitation for her birthday. It was from Close to my Heart of course and they are little purses with a handle out of ribbon. It was fun putting them together. Now I just have to figure out when and where we are going to have it!
I have been working on potty training with Seth. I am trying to keep up on it everyday. He is doing very well. It's so nice. I haven't had to change a poopy diaper in weeks. He wears big boy undies during the day. Night time will come very slowly I think for him. But that's ok with me. I can handle one diaper a day for Seth. I am very proud of him.
