I am going to attempt to type something since all I have been able to do is post pictures.
Delivery: I'm not going to go into detail on my delivery right now because I don't want to remember how PAINFUL it was. But I had my doctors appointment on that Thursday morning at 8:30 and following it I had my check-up for fluids at the hospital where they discovered I was very low in fluid so they admited me in. They wanted me there immediatly but I had to go home and figure out sitters for the kids, shower, EAT and so forth. I ended up checking back in at around 12:00. I had a horrible nurse at the end. I think she even broke my water on purpose instead of waiting for it to go on it's own. Which would have been better since I was low in fluid DAH stupid nurse. I couldn't stand her. To put a long story short I started with some IV medicine for pain relief that made me very light headed and just crashed for about 2 hours. Then it started to wear off so I got the epidural which helped a little but then stopped working. So I got another dose and ANOTHER dose. Nothing. Nice ha?! So PAIN was what I got. MAJOR SEVERE PAIN. Yah. Zander was not giong down right, he was kinda staying to the side, so they had to suck his head out because his heart rate was dropping way too low. When his head came out he had his cord wrapped around his neck as well. But he was born at 12:45 am and all was ok. He did one little cry and that was it. The nurses left us alone at night for a 6 hour sleep stretch so that was nice. But it was nice to get home.
The kids have been dealing with a new brother very well. No major shockers or anything. Zander gave us 4 hour blocks then to 7-8 hour blocks of sleep at night. Can't complain about that one. He is growing just fine and like all the other kids in the 50% - 75% growth chart.
I am doing ok. No post-pardum depression or anything. I have a lot LESS energy than I did after Canberra was born. But I am managing to keep the house clean and make dinner.
We had pictures for the kids schedualed for the 5th and would you know it Seth 3 days before wacks his head on the piano. Major gash. It was make-up-able by Friday but guess again, yep... Seth gets his two front teeth bashed agains the wood arm of the chair. BIG TIME! They didn't fall out but they now are turning dark grey and are wiggly. But his top lip was about 10 times bigger and all blue underneath. So no pictures. We ended up getting them done the week after. They turned out ok. You try getting 4 kids under the age of 6 to smile and look perfect all at the same time. The photographer was a joke too. That's our luck. But they are ok. Zander was asleep the entire time. It was great. And made that easy.
Seth has been having problems with his rubbing his ears and we've tried all kinds of stuff for him. But nothing has worked so we took him to a specialist and found out that he has negative pressure behind his ear drum. Also due to the negative pressure he is going to have a hard time hearing low tones. So I guess that means everytime he gets sick or anything irritates his ears he well end up rubbing them due to them feeling itchy or tickeling inside or whatever. And of course, there is nothing they can do about it. It's just the way his ears were made. Poor little guy. Any loud noises, allergies, colds, water in them, it's going to bug him. It's not painful thank goodness but the poor guy rubs them due to annoying feelings inside and rubs them sometimes every 10 seconds! Seth is also 100% potty trained as of March. So for 3 months now we have had no accidents. That's even at night. I am so relieved and happy. Perfect timing. 2 done 2 to go. He did it all on his own too. That is something about Seth that we have to keep reminding ourselves... he has to do it BY HIMSELF. Leave him alone and he'll do it. You can NOT make Seth do anything.
Shane is still doing great in school. Adding, subtracting, reading, drawing and REMEMBERING! Gosh he tells me so much stuff he is learning. He remembers so many detailed things.
Daniel has applied for a couple of jobs. One in Utah and one in Phoenix. To tell you the truth I'd rather live in Utah than Phoenix. But he'll get the job he's supposed to. He interviews for the Phoenix position today. I told him he's going to have to get paid VERY well for me to move to Phoenix. We'll see!

I am sorry to hear about your crappy labor! I am however excited about the possibility of you guys moving up to Utah! I worry that if you do you will see how crazy my life is ALL the time and you won't want to be my friend anymore! HE HE!!
Whatever Jill!!! (don't listen to her! she's the best!)
It's labor stories like yours that sometimes make me glad that I'm a c-section kind of girl :) Sorry you had to go through all of that.
And the same thing ALWAYS happens to me with picture days. I don't even plan anymore. If the kids are happy that day and not banged up, I throw them in the car and wait to be squeezed in. If I plan it and call ahead, someone falls and bruises something...Ain't life grand???
