Well, we had black eyes, big knots on the head, even staples on the head, busted front teeth and now, the fractured leg. Seth was holding Zander walking around like he always does and Shane gets a bright idea to trip Seth. Yes, yes. So down goes Zander with Seth right on top of him and even better, right on the step down into the playroom. I didn't see it so I have no idea how his legs were or how it all happened. Just saw the big busted eye on Zander and was relieved that was all.... until I sat him down on my lap and he just screamed! So I immediately took his clothes off to see if I could tell if there was anything else wrong, I checked his hips and back and arms and legs. Everything seemed ok other than a bruise right below his knee. It was sensitive when I touched it. So we were more careful around his legs. An hour later Zander tried to stand up and couldn't put pressure on his right leg and started to cry. So Daniel asked a nurse friend of his about it and she said we better take him in to ER. So 8:00pm I went in with Zander and surprisingly we were home by 10:30! They put him in a splint for the night and told me to follow up with a pediatric doctor first thing the next day. He slept just fine that night in his splint. In the morning I had to call 4 different doctors because they couldn't see him for 5-9 days or they were on vacation until I found one that could see him today. I took him in and they couldn't see a fracture on the x-ray but thought there could be one hidden behind the swelling. So they put him in a cast for 3 weeks. Lets just hope it does the trick. Poor little Zander, just getting ready to walk and so active. He's dealing with it ok, although I think there is something wrong with his other leg. Sometimes when I am changing his diaper or putting on his sock or just sitting him down on my leg he bursts out crying. But not always. They checked his hips and felt his legs and he's had no reactions. If it continues tomorrow I will take him back and have them x-ray his other leg. Maybe he'll end up in 2 casts! So no standing for Zander as much as he so desperately wants to. It's going to be hard keeping him from standing. I held him all day today, needless to say... nothing got done today. I did manage to take a shower and get a load of laundry washed and dried while he napped. It will be an interesting 3 weeks.

Oh, so sorry! That has to be scary and frustrating! I hope things go smoothly!
