A weekend alone...

Before I get into our weekend plans... I have to say thank you to Lindsay for teaching Daniel and I the basics of Rumba. We are working on getting a "dress rehearsal" video of our progress so far. Daniel and I now feel very confident when we go on to the dance floor. This song "Besame Mucho" is one of our favorites to dance to. We also like the next song... and Casi Un Bolero.

Thanks to my older sister Tanna, Daniel and I get to go camping on the 28th at Picacho Peak. She is going to watch all my kids overnight so we can go. We are so excited to go and be ALONE for longer than a few hours! On top of that, we get to hike to the top that morning in the cool crisp air. It's been so long! Too long! Since I have had a good hike. I used to go to 7 falls at LEAST 2 times a month during and after high school. Daniel and I went to Peppersauce Cave when I was 4 months pregnant with Shane, but that's a cave not hiking. Although my legs hurt just as much afterward. Aside from that, we have gone camping as a family when Seth was a baby and that's been it! After that Daniel has been so busy with school and work and I've been pregnant! So we are, to say the least, EXCITED to go!

Also, we want to take the boys and possibly Canberra and Zander... we'll see about Zander, in the spring. Why oh why would we go in the spring when the rattle snakes, scorpions and spiders are coming out? I have no idea. But at least it will be warmer for them and they will get to see the flowers. With us going first we can also get an idea of the hiking route to take with the kids. We also want to take them to feed the deer, ostrich and birds at the Ostrich Farm there. Now I have to admit... that may be more for me than the kids.

That sounds like fun. Drew and I went backpacking last summer of '07and even though it was tough, it was beautiful and much needed time to each other. I am happy you get a break. We all need a little hiking in our lives as well! Gorgeous pics btw! love you!
